To do

After a day of strolling around, I dressed up in a black slip dress and strolled through the 8th arrondissement. I finally came across Le Castiglione on Rue Saint-Honore after the very cheeky and handsome waiter flirted with my soul. He pulls my chair out, dresses me with a table cloth, and delivers ever so gracefully a bubbly rosé. Dreams do come true. The sky was beaming at golden hour for hours in August. The breeze softly grazed my hair, and the warmth of the light caressed my body. I sat in awe of everything happening around me. That’s the beauty of solo traveling. You get to immerse yourself and live vicariously in what’s happening around you. I was enamored with Paris. I recall so vividly as if it were yesterday… Seeing a stunning, chic french woman passing by on her way with a Chanel bag in hand, dress flowing softly, and it felt as if I were living in a Vouge magazine. She embodied everything I wanted to be—like the way a little girl stares at her mom getting dressed. The couple a few tables from me, the woman was sitting on top of her significant other’s lap and they were affectionately all over each other. Arm in arm. There was so much passion in that very moment. Quite frankly, their love revived my heart in so many ways. I wanted someone to feel that adorned over me. A firm hold of me leaving me no room to question how strong he felt for me. And that’s where my desire for never settling for mediocre was born. Seduction at its best. Throughout the evening I enjoyed glass after glass feeling more smitten than the moment before. I sat and watched as if I were in a cinema. There’s this dreaminess that exists here and every second I wanted to devour it.

Paris, you’ll never forget it.

With Love,
L
